Massimo Iosa Ghini
Massimo Iosa Ghini (Bologna, 1959) is an architect, graduated from the Milan Polytechnic Institute.
Since
1985, he has been involved in the avant-garde of Italian design, in
the Bolidismo group, of which he is the founder, and is part of the
Memphis group together with Ettore Sottsass.
His professional evolution takes place in design, planning of commercial and museum architecture, in the design of squares and structures designed for public transport, as well as in the design of chain stores built around the world, in the development of projects for important international groups such as Ferrari, Capital Group, IBM Italia, CMC Group Miami, Seat Pagine Gialle, Alitalia and many others.
His design and architectural projects have received important mentions, such as the Compasso D'Oro ADI Award, as well as numerous others including the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum, the Red Dot Award and the iF Product Design Award, Germany, the Roscoe Award in the USA, IAI AWARD Green Design Global Award and IAI Awards in Shanghai, China.
In 2013, the Milan Triennale dedicated an entire anthology to his 30-year professional career from its origins to the present day, reproposed by the MAMbo - Museum of Contemporary Art of Bologna in 2014.
In 2015, one of his retail concepts, KIKO MILANO, won the BEST RETAIL GLOBAL EXPANSION category at MAPIC 2014.
On April 25, 2015, the Marconi Foundation and the Marconi Institute of Creativity awarded him the Marconi Prize for Creativity in recognition of his creative abilities.
In
2017, he was selected as the "Ambassador of Italian Design"
as part of the Italian Design Day - IDD, a project organized and
coordinated by Farnesina to promote Italian design worldwide.
