Construction of Palanga house near Riga began!
The architectural concept of a country house should blend in with the landscape. This is the advantage of the houses Lumi Polar designs – one may immediately “go out to the country” from our houses! When creating projects, our architects use cardinal orientation. So did HELGA TRAKSEL, who designed the wonderful Palanga villa in Latvia.
The south and west fronts face the garden, and the entrance is made in the north-eastern part. The residential area is situated in the southern wing of the house and there is always much light at the daytime there. The bedrooms are in the northern, cool and shady part, where the sun does not prevent from dreaming sweetly in the morning. A high glass front which guarantees the highest possible solar exposure is provided in the kitchen and dining room.
The entrance group will be tiled with tiles of different forms. The small northern garden invites to calm and contemplation: there will be a simple small pond with stones and lilies, shade-loving perennials – plantain lilies, ferns and lady’s mantles. The arborvitaes and osiers planted along the fence will protect from the street noise. There is a swimming pool and a sauna in the private southern part. The landscape will be decorated here with cherry trees and creeping vines. The narrow eastern garden is a place where your family may have picnics under the apple trees, enjoying the thick aroma of meadow grass. It is so natural, fine and Finnish!
