In the 1950s building houses by yourself was a very common thing. So to say, the projects were simple and the specialists were true handymen. Time has changed: XXI century brought more sophisticated projects and less specialists. Think of your dream house. Describe it. Don’t worry if at the end you get a house of 500 m 2 when you thought of only 250 m 2 . It’s just a starting point for the architect:
- take an existing plan of your flat or try to draw it. Mark the drawbacks of the plan and your desires (e.g. adding two rooms, enlarging the kitchen, etc);
- make a list of all the necessary rooms for your future house;
- try to draw a scheme where you can see the connection of the rooms (how you get from the living room to the kitchen and to the hall, a door from the bedroom to the bathroom, etc).
