If you are a fan of feng shui teaching
When we have bought an apartment, we can hardly change anything in its planning, while when we have bought a land parcel, we are free to do anything we want on that land. For example, we can build a wood house according to the Feng Shui rules.
Due to the fact that our customers ask us about the houses built according to this teaching, we can respond: If you wish, we will create a draft of the wooden house and place it on your land, taking into account all the Feng Shui rules. Here, we will try to tell you briefly about the basic rules of that doctrine.
The Ancient Tradition of Feng Shui
Our Finnish architects of Lumi Polar Company recognize that doctrine because it suggests only things that have been tested for hundreds and thousands of years. Feng Shui is a science that studies the human, his inner harmony and harmony of the relationship between man and surrounding environment.
We realize our projects of houses that are built for the people who will be living in them. If you would take even any part of the following recommendations, subsequently, you will live in a wooden house with a supportive and positive energy, and you should not have to expend energy to alter, subsequently, your wooden house or plot.
The Plot, Planned According To Feng Shui
We encourage you to take seriously the choice of the land plot. First of all, pay attention to ecology - it will be better to find a good and pure land plot at once, than to correct a bad patch later. Make sure that there is no noise from passing vehicles, any landfills, swamps, etc.
Very often, when buying land, we consider the price of the land, but not surrounding environment. Feng Shui recommends exploring the whole area, where your wooden house will be build. It should be done to understand how topography, climate and environment of the land plot are suitable for the individual. Everyone knows that our state of mind and physical health depends on our environment.
The Space under Feng Shui Teachings
If you can afford to buy a large land plot, then, buy it without hesitation. Feng Shui believes that the person, who lives on a spacious plot, will be able to dispose of his money - they will never leave him. Only a man who lives on a spacious plot can have objective look at the world around him.
If you have a small land plot, do not install a high fence around it, because it would stand in the way of positive energy flow. The same applies to the arrangement of wooden houses.
For example, a garage or shed, built in front of your house, will prevent the inflow of positive energy and close ‘the world for you‘. The road to your home does not have to be perfectly straight. It should be winding. Look at old photos of the palaces - there avenue to the palace has been always passing through a park, fountains or flower beds.
Flora under Feng Shui Teachings
Masters of Feng Shui believe that any plant carries only positive energy, even if the plant is poisonous. The more vegetation will be on your site, the better. The Chinese believe that positive energy is where a lot of plants are growing - the air is cleaner and soil is more fertile in such places.
Sometimes, the grass in different sections of one plot has different colors. The energy will be more positive in the place where the grass has brighter color. You should not build a house in that area, because underground water might be there. Locate your wooden house so that the land was located in front of the house, so favorable energy could come into your house.
Bushes are necessary in the area, but it would be better if they do not have spines. People should be in the area of fruit trees such as pear, cherry, apple and plum - if you plant those trees, then your life will blossom.
Water under Feng Shui Teachings
It is desirable that a water reservoir was at the site, but the reservoir must have clean water. The water should be located in front of the house, and in no case, behind the house. The reservoir can be of any type - a pond, river, lake, sea ... Slow river with clean water and winding banks is the best option. Such water reservoir will fill your home with clean and positive Qi Energy.
Houses under Feng Shui Teachings
Houses built under Feng Shui, are gaining popularity because people are living in them peacefully and happily. Those houses help their owners to be happy and successful, and at the same time, they require fewer repairs and serve much longer.
The house should be like a man - we love it when there is an open space in front of our eyes, and there is something that gives a sense of protection behind us. On a subconscious level, we always strive to protect ourselves from behind. This principle should be applied in construction of the wooden house. Try to build your house so that mountains, forest or buildings were behind your house, and outdoor area was in front of it.
It is a great stupidity to "burrow" into the ground, if you have spacious area!
In Finland, people will design a house with a basement only in case of emergency - for example, if the house is located on a small area in the city. Finnish architects of Lumi Polar Company believe that it is stupidity to burrow into the ground if there is a spacious area for construction of the house in the country.
- Firstly, it is not a "cheap fun."
- Second, the descent into the basement, and the rise from the basement would take a lot of force (a barn can be built on the ground).
- Third, the basement must raise minimum of 1.5 meters above the ground level. You will separate yourself from nature! You'll either have to go down to nature by stairs, or to look down at the nature from your windows.
The Feng Shui rule says that, when you have a garage under your house, you will not enter the house through the main entrance, but from the basement, so its negative energy will penetrate right behind you into your home. Now, a swimming pool, located in the basement of the house, is in a trend.
People, who have been living in such a house, know that such house becomes, with time, wet and soggy. The residential building cannot be designated for such a large amount of water underneath. Some people do not like empty space and, therefore, do their best to fill their housing with all kinds of furniture and a variety of things.
Filling every corner of the house, they deprive themselves of the space – and often, those people are experiencing financial difficulties throughout their life.
Construction Materials under Feng Shui Teachings
The Feng Shui teachings recommend building houses only of natural materials - then the house itself, and you, in particular, will receive only healthy and positive energy.
The house made of wood is the most useful for the human. Feng Shui does not recommend the use of metal, concrete, and various synthetic materials in the construction of the house. For example, iron conducts electricity, so if you'll be in the area of the electromagnetic field, it will harm your health.
It would be better not to buy modern construction materials, which are widely advertised, and traditional materials, time-tested, where timber is the best of them. That is why some people find the Feng Shui teachings to be old-fashioned.
