ENERGY-SAVING WOODEN HOUSES
Today, when choosing housing, environmental friendliness and energy saving come to the fore, and after-everything else. We have repeatedly touched upon the topic of the environmental friendliness of our wooden houses, and it is no secret to anyone that we have no equal in this matter. Since in the construction we only use natural materials: Finnish wood of the highest grades A and B, environmentally friendly glue and all other components, including paints, etc.
However, in this article we will focus more on energy supply and alternative heating methods. The energy in the house is used mainly for the operation of electrical appliances, water heating and cooking, but the biggest part is occupied by heating. Of course, a wooden house retains heat, but only if it is built by professionals and in compliance with all energy efficiency rules.
The experts concluded that the reasons for the enormous costs of maintaining a house are not in insulation but in a wrong architectural design, and that architects are obliged to rationally use energy resources in a living space, and strongly recommend that customers thoroughly check all their projects.
In order to avoid mistakes, the location of the house on the site, the projects of the house, foundation and engineering communications must be calculated in detail and connected between each other, because these components only "work" for energy saving in combination. The best views from the windows, taking into account the benefits of the landscape and all energy-saving factors, only depend on the skill level of the architect and his experience.
Our company strictly observes the rules for building energy-efficient wooden houses and does it in accordance with high Finnish standards:
- We place the house correctly on the site, and we design the project of the wooden house in such a way that every square meter is functionally used in the house;
- The most vulnerable parts of structures are floor, roof, doors, windows, knots, joints and corners, therefore, in order to avoid cracks or cold bridges in the house, we model all the details of houses and produce them with an accuracy of hundredths of a millimeter;
- We carefully calculate the settling of each structure of a wooden house and tightly join their parts;
- Clear geometry of the system of seals and heat-insulating materials, which are installed tightly, continuously, without gaps, with overlap at the joints and carefully in the openings of windows, doors and on the roof;
- We only use natural materials.
WINDOWS ARE THE MAIN COMPONENT OF HOME INSULATION!
- We produce from buttwood of the highest grade (buttwood - the lower part of the trunk, radial cut, without knots);
- Ideal fit of structures, double-glazed windows, unique fasteners of the box;
- Windows are energy efficient! The latest seals, thermal conductivity less than 0.9kilowatts per m2. - no heat loss!
Compliance with these rules is necessary, so we advise you to carefully choose a company that you can entrust with the construction of an energy-saving wooden house.According to calculations, the cost of houses built according to all the rules of energy efficiency is 20% more expensive than ordinary ones, but in maintenance they are 60-70% cheaper!So, having chosen an eco-friendly wooden house for life, which was built in compliance with all energy efficiency rules, you already win!Go for it!
WE SELECT ALTERNATIVE WAYS OF HEATING THE HOUSE:
1. Heat pumps.
The Finns, when building private houses in 70%, use a system of heat pumps that use soil or groundwater as energy sources. The heat pump draws positive energy from the bowels of the earth and heats the house with it. The non-freezing liquid (a mixture of glycol and water), which has received heat from a land collector, a well or groundwater, is transferred through a pipeline to a heat pump, where its temperature is lowered, and the heat released is used to heat an energy-saving house and hot water. Then, the cooled liquid returns back, where it again takes heat.Ventilated air heat recovery heat pumps that use surplus energy - an ecosystem. When using a heat pump for air heating, energy savings of up to 80% are achieved!
2. Wood burning fireplace.
Also, a wood-burning fireplace is an environmentally friendly source of energy. In winter, they can heat the house and use its fume passing through the pipe as heating energy for the premises. A water tank is also installed in the fireplace, which is heated during the burning of the fireplace and used to heat the house. Thus, by installing a fireplace in the house, you will be satisfied not only with high heat output, saving electricity, and rapid heating of the room, but also, do not forget that this is a wonderful interior decoration and a cozy place next to which you can get the whole family on a winter evening under warm blanket, with a mug of hot cocoa, and watch the crackling logs.
3. Solar heating system.
As with electricity, the sun can also be used to provide hot water, space heating, cooling and pool heating.
- Solar water heating. Solar water heating systems consist of three main elements: a solar collector, insulated piping, and a hot water storage tank. Additional devices may also be included. The solar collector collects heat from solar radiation and transfers it to the water. The heated water flows from the collector into the hot water tank and is used as needed
- Solar photovoltaic + thermal technology. Solar photovoltaic + thermal (PVT) panels are advanced solar electric panels that generate electricity and heat water with a single solar module.
- Solar air technology. Solar air heating is used for commercial and industrial buildings where the energy from the sun is captured and used to heat the air.
- Solar heating systems are available to everyone, the return on investment can be 3-6 years.
Whatever alternative you choose as house heating, if it is important for you that the house is warm, then you should definitely choose a wooden house, because wood is the warmest building material. It is warm even to the touch, which cannot be said about any other materials. We produce houses from spruce and pine, which, due to their porous structure, belong to medium-density species and have the highest thermal insulation properties. spruce and pine cells have an amazing ability to retain and retain heat.The Finnish architectural and construction company Lumi Polar will build a house for you from Finnish timber anywhere in the world in accordance with strict Scandinavian standards!
