The Majendorf project is a spa complex with a total area of 1.309 sq.m and spacious terraces, built as a second house. The architecture of the building continues the aesthetic of the main residence.

The concept is a modern European interpretation of Alpine architecture: bold forms, natural materials, and high attention to details.

Architectural features

The facade cladding is made of glued spruce boards, 40×200 mm, mounted with concealed fasteners—there’s not a single visible screw on the surface. Each element was hand-selected with high precision in texture and tone. A unique brushing technique was used for the cladding followed by impregnation with a ferrisulfate solution. This treatment gives the wood its ash-grey color and a noble ageing effect.

Interior spaces designed for comfort and recovery:

• a large spa zone with a swimming pool, a sauna, a hammam, and a relaxation room
• an outdoor swimming pool with a jacuzzi
• a technical basement floor for all technical equipment
• an office, a kitchen, and a guest bedroom
• a unique architectural feature — a portal between the house and the pool that might be open in summer, in winter it allows to swim directly from the house into the outdoor jacuzzi pool.

Roof Structure

The roof is built on massive 200×600 mm beams, which remain exposed both outside and inside, emphasizing the monumentality of the construction. The roof is covered with a Resitrix membrane, ensuring watertightness and resistance to the environment. All parapets, ventilation shafts, and additional architectural elements are made of copper — a noble material that enhances the building’s aesthetic and ages beautifully over time. Majendorf is more than just a guesthouse — it’s a private spa retreat immersed in forest tranquility.
